Our final township trivia answer is 1834! The Symons Creek covered bridge was supposedly the first covered bridge in Indiana and was located in our county in Dudley Township! It was demolished in 1921, nearly 100 years old.
Township Trivia was a lot of fun; I learned so much about Henry County, but there is still a lot to be gained.
This week, I’ll be posting pictures from our Needlework Exhibit, examples of tatting, embroidery, coverlets, and quilts. However, it is best experienced in person! Although the museum is undergoing renovations, the main floor and basement will be open soon for tours. The Needlework Exhibit is located on the main floor.

I mentioned “tatting” up above. Have you ever heard of someone tatting? It is a method of creating a knotted type of lace by hand. We have some incredibly detailed pieces on display right now.
