What a perfect day for a parade and festival!

Board President Gene Ingram drove our 1930 Chrysler with passengers Carl Crisp and HCHS Executive Director Tim Rainesalo in New Castle’s famed Memorial Day Parade.  Then, HCHS was represented at the Memorial Day Festival just after the parade by Mr. Rainesalo and Amanda Clark.  We talked to lifetime members, people who have been meaning to get up to visit us, and folks who are not from Henry County but still took the time to talk with us.  A highlight of the day was meeting Ms. Vicki Cunningham, the illustrator of the children’s book My Daddy, A Soldier, authored by Ruth Phelps and on sale for $5!
