Hint: This is a painting that hangs in the dining room of the Grose mansion. The question is who is the artist?

Were you correct? This is a horsehair carriage lap robe and belonged to Albert N. Chandler. It was used in the early 1900s to 1937 and was donated to the Museum in 2000. It is a lovely item and must be viewed in person!
Hint: This is found in what was once the Museum’s first curator’s office, originally the butler’s pantry of General Grose’s mansion.
