Were you correct? This is a horsehair carriage lap robe and belonged to Albert N. Chandler. It was used in the early 1900s to 1937 and was donated to the Museum in 2000. It is a lovely item and must be viewed in person!
Hint: This is found in what was once the Museum’s first curator’s office, originally the butler’s pantry of General Grose’s mansion.

This fellow is a white pelican! He was shot down in Prairie Township in 1880 near Shively Lake. It is believed he flew off course and wound up here in Henry County.
