Our  item this week is a photo of Major General Omar Bundy from New Castle.  World War I was just one military conflict he participated in, serving under General John Pershing.  He was awarded the Commander of the French Legion of Honor for his “stubborn defense and obstinate counter-attacks.”  His not following orders and unwillingness to retreat thereby saved Paris; thus, he was considered a hero.
