The year that HCHS became a society was 1887!  The meeting was actually divided into two sessions, morning and afternoon, and was held at the old courthouse.

Today’s trivia focuses on local artist Lucinda Bowers McDowell.  Not only did she paint our second courthouse, but she also painted a portrait of this man. Who was he?
