The answer to last week’s trivia question was the Kahn-Heller Building.  Before it became the Dollar General Store, it housed many different small businesses.

This week, we’ll explore a little bit about the Thaddeus Coffin desk.  If you haven’t been to the Museum to see it in person, make plans to visit!  The pictures just do not do it justice.  Plus, its history is very fascinating!

Nearly 57,000 pieces of wood from 324 species make up this desk.  I chose 5 drawers to share.  Here is the first one.  Tomorrow, I’ll share a bit of history about that particular drawer with you!
