The ladies’ tennis club was called the Monday Club.  The tennis courts were located on Circle Street in the old fairgrounds.  The ladies pictured yesterday, in no particular order, were Effie Rodgers Rutledge, Valetta Arnold Brown, Mary Smith Heller, Sallie Arnold, Blanch Mooris, Minnie Morris, Minnie Pitman Holloway, and Nellie Bundy Bailey (the photo has 8 names but only 7 ladies pictured!).
