The town of Kennard was named for resident Jenkins Kennard who came with his parents to Greensboro Township in 1834 at the age of 8 from Belmont County, Ohio.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our next trivia is a bit of a mystery.  This program was found in the Greensboro Township file.  So far, we have found no other information about the Addisonians but thought it was rather interesting.  One of the men mentioned four times on the program is buried at South Mound Cemetery.  He was 24 years of age when this program occurred.  What was his name?  Also, if you know anything about the Addisonians, we’d love to know more about them too!
